The
Electric Ballroom is well known as Atlanta's first major rock
music hall. Every mid-size touring act of the mid to late
70's played the room. From Badfinger to Patti Smith to Kansas.
Highly anticipated and enthusiastically received, Atlanta's
rock scene hit its stride in the old ballroom at the Georgian
Terrace Hotel.
At one unforgettable show Alex was caught off guard by a
Bruce Springsteen request. "He asked if we could shut
down the cash registers because they were making too much
noise!... That's the only time I ever did that." Alex
admits.
