The Electric Ballroom is well known as Atlanta's first major rock music hall. Every mid-size touring act of the mid to late 70's played the room. From Badfinger to Patti Smith to Kansas. Highly anticipated and enthusiastically received, Atlanta's rock scene hit its stride in the old ballroom at the Georgian Terrace Hotel.

At one unforgettable show Alex was caught off guard by a
Bruce Springsteen request. "He asked if we could shut down the cash registers because they were making too much noise!... That's the only time I ever did that." Alex admits.
