The event the papers dubbed
"The Best Little Woodstock in Texas" actually drew
150,000 freedom seeking young people to hear Janis Joplin's
homecoming and Led Zeppelin's momentum building performance
as they climbed their way to rock-god status.
The 1969 Labor Day event capped the end of the decade and
went off without a hitch. There is a website and book in progress
about the event.
